Exploring notions of ritual, mapping and transformation through the use of basic materials such as raw pigments, cotton thread, labels and paper, Michelle uses repetitive elements in her artworks, which range in scale from postcard-size drawings to cathedral-size installations.

The resulting patterns , textures and distortions often reflect the imperfect hand of (feminine) human intervention that affects everything around us, even, and perhaps especially, in a world of computer-controlled precision.

Michelle’s works have been described as “other worldly”, "blissful" and "meditative". Her textured surfaces and delicate spaces challenge our ideas of perception and perfection.
Michelle is currently based in the UK in Dorset.
